Temperature Changes Have Been Small
The temperature spread has been less than 20°F today. That is probably due to the insulating effect of the cloud cover. We did have some brief periods around noon today that the sun did come out, but that was short lived, and we are back in the clouds again here. The showers actually ended around10:00 hours here, but it has felt quite humid. This has not been a pleasant day to be outside. N.O.A.A. gets a 50 for their forecast for today since they missed the temperature and the ending time for the rain.
Overnight the Weather Underground model map forecasts no precipitation overnight, but we may have something tomorrow evening. N.O.A.A. predicts the fair sky will turn foggy early tomorrow morning, the temperature will only fall to 47°F, the cloud cover will drop to 37% by 02:00 hours then rise to 44% by 05:00 hours and the relative humidity will vary back and forth between 80% and 86% through the overnight hours.
My Weather Stick points straight out, and I have no idea what that means at this point. My Min/Max Thermometer is mixed up calling for improving barometric pressure but a mix of fair and cloudy skies. The other two electronic instruments still call for deteriorating barometric pressure and rain. Who do you believe? I will take my guess that we will have unsettled weather overnight with very little change in temperature, with fog moving in later tonight.
