The Red Sky Knew More Than N.O.A.A.

This morning's prediction foretold of no precipitation during the day, so I was a bit surprised when I stepped out at 15:00 hours and found it had started to rain. I did get the sheep in before they got wet, and I am sure they appreciated that. Two of my electronic instruments predicted fair skies today, and they were wrong. The remote weather station forecast clouds, and it was correct. I do enjoy it when I am correct, and except for the very light shower, I did hit it right about the mix of sun and clouds and the unsettled weather. I have to take my kudos where I can get them. Ok, I will not break my arm patting myself on the back. The cloud cover never approached 50% let alone 24%. It was more like 60 to 70% all day. The temperature and relative humidity data, forecast/actual are tabulated below:
Temperature: 30°F/29°F//43°F/40°F//51°F/43°F//49°F/42°F.
Relative Humidity: 76%/84%//50%/72%//49%/65%//60%/77%.
The temperature data is quite close, but the relative humidity did not fare as well.
N.O.A.A. and the Weather Underground mode forecast map have predicted showers and scattered showers for the overnight hours. The cloud cover, according to N.O.A.A. should be 77%/84% 90% and 59%, and that should be interesting. Their forecast of temperature and relative humidity are also reported here:
Temperature: 44°F/40°F/39°F/37°F.
Relative Humidity: 81%/91%/100%/99%.
Here again, the results in the morning should be interesting. I wonder if the ghouls and goblins have gotten into the N.O.A.A. computers.
My weather Stick points slightly down, again in response to the humidity, or maybe the spirits are having their effect on it. Maybe it is predicting unsettled weather, I don't know. All three of the electronic instruments are forecasting deteriorating barometric pressure, and indeed the atmospheric pressure has gone down. Two of the instruments foretell of unsettled weather, and the remote weather station divines cloudy skies. As this is All Hallows Eve, Halloween or Samhain, depending on your particular persuasion beware of the ghosts, ghouls, goblins and other spirits out there this evening. Who knows what effect they will have on our weather?
