The Rain Does Not Want To Leave

The rain apparently stopped around 20:30 hours last evening, and then resumed at 05:30 hours this morning. It has been raining moderately since then. The temperature has not changed a great deal since last evening when I did my report, only a degree or so. N.O.A.A. and the Weather Underground forecast map had the cloud cover and precipitation right for the overnight. My electronic instruments had it wrong, since we had no fair skies, although the barometric pressure is still very high. I have detailed the temperature and relative humidity next with the forecast/actual as usual:
Temperature: 44°F/42°F//43°F/41°F//43°F/41°F//42°F/41°F:
Relative Humidity: 85%/91%//92%/90%//94%/92%//92/92%:
The N.O.A.A. forecast for the temperature and relative humidity overnight were very close to the actual readings recorded by my weather station. Once again that is impressive:
For today N.O.A.A. and the Weather Underground model forecast map predict the continuation of the rain. The cloud cover is predicted to be 100% all day, making for a very dismal day. If I were a deer I would get to a place close to food, eat and hide all day today. For that reason I will not be going out in the woods to try my fortune today. The predicted temperature and relative humidity data is tabulated next:
Temperature: 41°F/45°F/48°F/49°F:
Relative Humidity: 92%/89%/89%/89%:
Not only is it going to be dismal, but also it will be humid and cool according to N.O.A.A.
My Weather Stick points down, and if I had not found out how they work I would say that it portends foul weather. In this case it is the only one that would be accurate. All three of my electronic instruments forecast fair skies and improving barometric pressure. The latter is accurate, while the former is totally inaccurate. Once again I think I will stick with the N.O.A.A. forecast, and suggest that we will have periods of rain today, at least until 16:00 hours. So far this month we have had 1.57 inches of rain, and that is impressive.
