The Sun Goes Down And There Are No Clouds This Evening
With the radiational cooling we have tonight, we may well see temperatures in the teens. Get out the feather comforter, and throw another log on the fire. The clouds have continued to dissipate all day, until now we are left with no visible clouds. N.O.A.A. and the Weather Underground model maps certainly have it right for the predominant weather today. The cloud cover seems to have been a little backward with the 0% occurring this afternoon. I have tabulated the forecast/actual temperature and relative humidity data next:

This morning's temperature was a bit higher than the forecast, but the actual and forecast temperatures agreed for the rest of the day. The relative humidity predictions were not quite as good with the forecast relative humidity being off from 5 to 13%.
For the overnight the Weather Underground model map and N.O.A.A. predictions call for no precipitation overnight. The cloud cover is not expected to exceed 30%. The forecast temperature and relative humidity are tabulated next:

This is the first time this season that we are forecast to dip into the teens overnight, but I am sure it will not be the last. It appears that the relative humidity is also forecast to be quite low overnight.
My Weather Stick, in response to the low humidity, points slightly up. All three of the electronic instruments forecast improving barometric pressure with fair skies. How can I argue with that? I saw no clouds at sunset, and it was getting cold enough for a jacket. I have drained the hose, but I am not sure it was enough. It is not even 19:00 hours and the temperature is almost 27°F.
