Rain Is Just Starting
It is 05:30 hours, and I have just come in from exercising Bart. We are currently seeing some very light precipitation, but there has not yet been enough to measure. It may take a while before that happens. N.O.A.A. did forecast some light mixed precipitation overnight, but at thirty-four degrees it is not mixed, only rain. The cloud cover percentage is definitely in the nineties. The usual tabulation of the temperature and relative humidity follows:
Temperature: 43°F/44°F//39°F/41°F//36°F/37°F//34°F/36°F:
Relative Humidity: 76%/74%//85%/78%//82%/85%//82%/86%:
The N.O.A.A. temperature forecast was very close to the actual for our area, missing the point by not more than two degrees. The relative humidity, with the exception of the 20:00 data point, was within three percent. The outlier was out by seven percent.
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts a gray day with light, scattered mixed precipitation. The cloud cover will start at 93%, increase to 96% and then to 100% where it will remain for the rest of the day. The temperature is forecast to remain in the thirties and that information with the relative humidity forecast is detailed next.
Temperature: 33°F/37°F/39°F/38°F:
Relative Humidity: 78%/70%/64%/67%:
It is a big surprise that my Weather Stick points down. Despite the fact that we are currently having some precipitation the three electronic instruments indicate fair skies with improving barometric pressure. I guess if I believe that someone could sell me a bridge in Brooklyn, N.Y., or some ocean frontage in Arizona. From what I can see outside it appears that we will have some precipitation, clouds, raw temperatures, light winds and in general a rather unpleasant day.
