An Entire Miserable Day
The rain has continued to fall and so has the temperature. Our low temperature of this morning was our high temperature of the day. Slowly, inexorably the temperature has fallen until now it is just above freezing. N.O.A.A. got the predominant weather correct, but they missed the mark on the amount of afternoon cloud cover. Currently we are also experiencing some thunder and lightning. The temperature and relative humidity are detailed in the next table.
Temperature: 43°F/49°F//45°F/44°F//46°F/39°F//45°F/34°F.
Relative Humidity: 93%/92%//86%/91%//83%/91%//79%/91%.
The actual and forecast data were not close with one or two exceptions.
We are forecast to have ice this evening until around 01:00 when the rain is expected to taper off to showers. The cloud cover will remain at 100% until 01:00 when it will drop to 77% and finally to 73%. The projected temperature and humidity table follows.
Temperature: 30°F/29°F/29°F/28°F.
Relative Humidity: 100%/100%/100%/100%
This should prove to be interesting.
My Weather Stick points down, still. The remote weather station predicts clouds with a steady barometer. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts improving barometric pressure with mixed overcast and fair skies. The Weather Station Console predicts rain with deteriorating barometric pressure. The last seems to be the most reasonable prediction since it is raining outside right now.
