Unseasonable Warmth
For the middle of December we are having exceptionally warm weather. The presence of the fog this morning certainly attests to that fact. The N.O.A.A. prediction that the rain would end, and it would be replaced with fog was accurate. Their prediction was off only on the time that change would occur. That change occurred by 19:00 hours last evening.
For today N.O.A.A. predicts that the fog will burn off by midmorning, but the sky will not clear during the day. The cloud cover should get down to around 53% by 16:00 hours this afternoon. We are not supposed to have any rain today, but the temperature is supposed to be warmer than normal.
My Weather Stick points down, and with 92% humidity are we surprised by that? I do not think so. All three of my electronic instruments forecast continued deteriorating barometric pressure. Two of the instruments are forecasting rain, and the remote weather station forecasts overcast conditions. Based on the N.O.A.A. forecast data as well as my own instrumentation I would suggest that we will have a warm day with plenty of overcast. It does not appear that we will have any precipitation today.

As you can see the N.O.A.A. temperature forecast data and the actual data were close. The relative humidity forecast was pretty good as well.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature: 34°F/41°F/46°F/44°F.
Relative Humidity: 0%/0%/0%/0%
I have never seen 0% relative humidity, but that is what was on the N.O.A.A. forecast graphic. I truly doubt the accuracy of that forecast.
