The Rain Came

Overnight, N.O.A.A. and the Weather Underground model forecast maps had the predominant weather correct. The rain started around 20:30 hours, and it has continued all night. The wind has remained calm all night. We reached our low temperature just after 16:00 hours yesterday afternoon. Since then the temperature has risen to just under the freezing mark.
Early this morning the prediction is for continued icing conditions. With the temperature just below freezing that certainly is realistic. By 10:00 hours, the forecast calls for a change to rain, and that rain to continue through the afternoon. The cloud cover is expected to be in the upper 90% range. Further, the temperature is not expected to get out of the thirties all day.
My Weather Stick points down, and with 88% relative humidity that is no surprise. My Weather Station Console is forecasting a storm with deteriorating barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer predicts rain with deteriorating barometric pressure. The remote weather station is forecasting clouds with deteriorating barometric pressure. Obviously, we have a low-pressure system moving into the area, and there seems to be quite a bit of rain associated with it. I looked at the NEXRAD radar and there is still quite a bit of rain to move through the area. The Weather Underground model forecasts maps indicate this system will not be out of the area until some time tomorrow. With all this information, my prediction is for the rain to continue at least into this evening.

The temperature forecast versus actually recorded data was excellent overnight. The relative humidity comparison was good until 01:00 and then N.O.A.A. missed the mark by a country mile.
The data for today is next.
