Leftover Rain

The additional rain that we see reported overnight is the result of some frozen precipitation that melted and registered in the rain gauge. There was actually no rain overnight. This means N.OA.A. called for scattered mixed precipitation or snow showers and we had neither. The cloud cover has remained persistent, certainly in the 80% range. The temperature has changed very little overnight, remaining at the freezing mark or just above it.
For today N.OA.A. is forecasting no precipitation, overcast to mostly cloudy skies, and a ten or twelve degree shift in temperature during the day. The Weather Underground model forecast maps are also predicting no inclement weather for today. The only precipitation I was able to see on the NEXRAD radar was just east of great lakes. I would suspect that this was lake effect snow. That precipitation should not reach our area.
My Weather Stick points down, and that is another verification that high relative humidity (84%) causes it to point down. The barometric pressure is rising according to the Weather Station Console and the Min/ Max Thermometer. The remote weather station is also showing the barometric pressure rising. The former two electronic instruments are forecasting fair skies. The remote weather station forecasts inclement weather. From the model forecast maps, N.OA.A. forecast and my own instruments I would expect the sky to become partly cloudy to clear, with temperatures in the mid to upper thirties and no precipitation.
