A Clear Cold Night
Overnight N..O.A.A. predicted that we would have no precipitation, and we did not. They also forecast a drop to around 12°F as a result of the clear skies, and a high-pressure system bringing some cold air down from Canada. They were correct there as well. Based on my saved data from the overnight they also got the relative humidity forecast very close. When I stepped outside to take Bart for his morning constitutional the sky was so clear that it appeared as though we could reach out and touch the stars. It was a gorgeous morning.
For today N.O.A.A. again predicts no precipitation with clear skies. The temperature is not forecast to make it out of the twenties today. The Weather Underground model forecast maps are predicting clear skies for today as well. The cloud cover is not expected to exceed 30%.
My Weather Stick points down! All three of my electronic instruments forecast fair skies with improving barometric pressure. Considering the view I have out my windows, the N.O.A.A. and Weather Underground maps and my electronic instruments I would agree that we would have a beautiful day with cold temperatures. Just what the ski areas need to make enough snow for the ski enthusiasts to be able to get out and enjoy the slopes. It may be cold, but getting active it should be fairly comfortable.
