This morning we have been greeted with a sheet of glare ice over the snow we had on Saturday.

It is raining right now even though the temperature is still just below freezing. Just before midnight when Bart went for his last walk of the night the clouds were moving in.

Because the precipitation was frozen or freezing as it contacted the ground it did not register on my rain gauge. There was very little wind overnight, but this morning it has become quite blustery.
Today the N.W.S. out of Gray Maine is forecasting the frozen or freezing precipitation to continue until around 13:00 hours, and that will change to rain between then and 16:00 hours. The cloud cover will remain at around 100% until around 13:00 hours changing to 96% by 16:00 hours. Temperatures are forecast to remain at or just above freezing.
My Weather Stick is indicating a relative humidity of 88% pointing down. All three of my electronic instruments forecast falling barometric pressure. Two of them forecast foul weather while the remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions. I will discount that latter forecast since it is still raining. That is painfully obvious as I see the water flowing off the carriage house roof. I do think this weather will continue throughout the day, and if it continues into the night, and the temperature falls below freezing again we may have a skating rink for the morning commute.
