The Foul Weather Continues
What a dull start to the new year. The N.W.S. was right about the freezing precipitation, it was in the form of freezing rain. The cloud cover was certainly 100% and it was windy. The temperature rose just above the freezing mark, and the road crews were out plowing and sanding, trying to keep the roads passable.
For tonight the experts forecast light rain until around midnight, and then the precipitation is supposed to stop. The sky is supposed to remain cloud covered, and the temperature is not supposed to change very much at all.
The relative humidity is 91%. Can you guess which way my Weather Stick points? I will save you the trouble, down. The Weather Station Console has us under a storm alert with rapidly falling barometric pressure. The other two electronic instruments show us having rain with falling barometric pressure. They have it right, it is raining lightly, and the temperature is holding steady at the freezing mark or just below. Further, the barometric pressure is falling. I guess I need to agree with the instruments this time. It does not look like this system is in a big hurry to get out of here.
