Light Scattered Rain Showers
I missed a 0.02-inch event yesterday afternoon. Around 15:00 hours we had one of those light scattered showers that put 0.02 inches of rain through my rain gauge. Overnight we had two more of those showers, one at about 02:00 hours and another between 06:00 and 07:00 hours this morning. That gave us a total for the last 24 hours of 0.06 inches of rain. The sky is still mostly cloudy to overcast and threatening. The temperature is still above freezing as it has been all night and there has been very little wind. N.O.A.A. hit the target, but missed the bulls eye on the predominant weather. They called for mixed precipitation, and what we got was rain, but it was light and scattered.
For today N.O.A.A. predicts light scattered rain showers this morning changing to light scattered snow showers this afternoon. They further expect the cloud cover to decrease from a high of 91% this morning to 44% late this afternoon. With what I have seen on the Weather Underground model forecast map that latter will surprise me if it is correct. It seems that we have a major system moving in for Sunday through Tuesday, but it is still a bit far out for me to make any serious estimate of what it will be.
My Weather Stick points down responding to the 85% relative humidity. All three of the electronic instruments predict falling barometric pressure, and two of them predict rain for the daylight hours today. The remote weather station forecasts cloudy skies, but not rain. My best guess is for unsettled weather with a chance of precipitation in our area, but that is not a given. Once again the temperature is not expected to change very much during the day, as you can see below.

N.O.A.A. did have the temperature right for the overnight. The relative humidity was close early this evening, but missed the mark for the 04:00 hour reading.
