The First Installment Arrives

We are currently experiencing some snow flurries in East Wilton, and so far we have had just enough snow to put a light coating on the ground where it has melted. The temperature is below freezing. It does not show any inclination to move up rapidly. Overnight N.O.A.A. forecast no precipitation, but they missed the snow that moved in during that time. According to the NEXRAD radar there is some more precipitation moving toward us, and it is forecast to be snow. The only question is the time frame of its arrival. Apparently we are experiencing the first in a series of "low-pressure" systems slated to move through our area. At 30.26 in. Hg it does not appear that this is a low-pressure cell.
For today N.O.A.A. is forecasting snow, but they do not expect more than 0.1 inches of the white stuff by 19:00 hours. According to the Weather Underground model forecast precipitation maps we are in for a bit more of this type of precipitation by noon Tuesday. Stay tuned for further updates.
My Weather Stick responds again to the 73% relative humidity and points slightly down. The electronic instruments do not seem to have a handle on the weather for today. The Weather Station Console forecasts improving barometric pressure and fair skies. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts partly cloudy skies with falling barometric pressure. Finally the remote weather station forecasts fair skies with steady barometric pressure. What can we believe? The only thing I can believe is what I see outside and that is light snow, light, variable wind and overcast skies.
