Fair And Cold
We never did get above the freezing mark here, and that was the way the forecast went. The sky did remain clear until just before sunset, as you can see in the photo.

Even then there were not many clouds, and they were the high thin cirrus variety. It did not feel balmy as I suggested this morning.
For the overnight the forecast is for no precipitation, but the clouds are supposed to start moving in. The temperature is also supposed to drop into the basement once again. In fact right now (20:22 hours) it is down to 6.9°F.
My weather stick points up as a result of the relative humidity at 44% when I started this report (17:00 hours). All three of the electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure. My Weather Station Console and Min/Max thermometer forecast fair skies, while the remote weather station forecasts partly cloudy conditions. The wind still seems to be a factor, so I would suggest that we will see clear skies, cold temperatures and wind chills that will make the inside of the house seem even more inviting. We are finally having some real Winter.

N.O.A.A. missed the forecast for the temperature until the last point this afternoon for our area. The relative humidity forecast was no better. N.O.A.A. seems to have its problems forecasting that parameter.
