Cold And Clear
This is another one of those nights when you could reach out and almost touch the stars. It is cold and crisp, what one could call a rafter snapper. It did warm up above freezing again today, and that caused the ice left at the edge of the road in front of our house to melt. At least it leaves us with a shoulder where we can walk the dog now.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation for our area and the snow north of us will continue to pull off to the north. The temperature here is already below the 04:00 prediction that was made. The sky is also much less that 30% covered. Further the relative humidity is already at the 01:00 predicted level. The front must be moving in faster than it was predicted to.
My Weather Stick is responding to the 66% relative humidity pointing straight out. My three electronic instruments are predicting a variety of conditions. The Weather Station Console forecasts foul weather with falling barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts partly cloudy skies with rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts cloudy skies with steady barometric pressure. Hey, anybody want to take a guess what the weather will be? I will take my guess that it is going to be cold, no precipitation and clear skies.
At the request of one of the readers of this report I have started to include the amount of snow we have had during the month. That data is added parenthetically in the appropriate places.

Comparative data for today.

N.O.A.A. did well with the forecast for the temperature today with the exception of the 07:00 hour forecast point. The relative humidity forecast was not bad. N.O.A.A. is currently saying that some of my temperature readings fall outside their expected readings. I am more inclined to think their data is suspect. Maybe the stations that they are using "close" to mine are not correct. That has happened before. In fact the three electronic instruments that I use are far enough apart that if any one of them were in error it would be obvious, but they are all very close.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 19°F/13°F/9°F/5°F.
Relative Humidity: 51%/63%/66%/65%
