Not Much Warmth
The wind has been an active participant in our weather today making it feel much colder than it actually was. The sky has remained clear, and the sun made things quite bright. It was a pretty day, but not one that I wanted to be outside doing much of anything.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. is predicting no precipitation, temperatures falling back into the negative numbers and the cloud cover slowly increasing. According to the Weather Underground model forecast maps we are not going to see any significant storms through Saturday. I am not sure I believe that, but we can live in hope. It is supposed to be cold though.
My Weather Stick points slightly up, and with only 45% relative humidity I would have expected more than that. All three of my electronic instruments are forecasting a falling barometer and foul weather just as they were this morning. I have yet to see any foul weather today or on the horizon for tonight. In fact all I am seeing right now are clear skies and nasty windchills (-18.1°F right now). I will get my chores done quickly this evening and get back in the house where I can be warm. The “rainfall” was the result of some snow in the rain gauge melting and being recorded. That will probably continue as we go through the month until spring.

N.O.A.A. did not do very well with the forecast for the temperature today either. The relative humidity forecast was no better than that for the temperature, which is not unusual.
