To Cold For The Ki-Ki Birds

I know when the temperature reaches -273 degrees C (absolute Zero) Mainers begin to ask each other if it is cold enough yet. We are getting there. It is now time to put on the light jackets and maybe a hat. It did not reach the low temperature yesterday morning until about 07:22 hours. Right now it is not as cold as it was yesterday morning at this time, and my current temperature is from when I started this data collection at 05:30 hours. If it gets much colder our words will freeze as they come out of our mouths, and we will not hear what is said until the spring thaw. (Sorry, a little weather humor to lighten things up.) N.O.A.A. did have the predominant weather correct, although it has gotten colder than they said it would.
For today their forecast is still for no precipitation, temperatures that will not make it to the teens, and dissipating cloud cover (down to about 30%). The Weather Underground model forecast maps are also suggesting that we will have the precipitation going south and east of us off shore. We actually could use some more snow to help insulate our basements and the ground in general. It would also help our winter sports economy
My Weather Stick responds to the 54% relative humidity by pointing straight out. All three of my electronic instruments support the notion that the barometric pressure will fall and we will see some inclement weather. I probably should not take issue with them, but I do not see any inclement weather on the NEXRAD radar or the Weather Underground model forecast maps. We may be just having a low pressure system in place that does not have enough moisture associated with it to produce any precipitation.

N.O.A.A. did not do very well with the forecast for the temperature for the first half of the overnight. The relative humidity forecast was better for the first half of the overnight than for the latter half.
Forecast data for today.
