Cold Clouds Moving In

Cirrocumulus Clouds Moving In West To East
Overnight it just got cold. The sky was clear so there was nothing to prevent the temperature from plummeting to the single numbers below zero. We did get the predominant weather correct (there was no precipitation). The temperature got just a little colder than the forecast said it would.
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation, temperatures in the high teens and clouds moving in. Maybe they will act as a blanket and warm us up a little bit. We can live in hope.
My Weather Stick points up (fair weather or foul). The portent would be fair, the reality, with the clouds moving in, is probably foul. The three electronic instruments have divergent opinions. The Weather Station Console forecasts partly cloudy sky with a rising barometer. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts partly cloudy sky with a falling barometer and the remote weather station forecasts cloudy sky with a steady barometric pressure. Take your best shot on this one. With the clouds moving in, I suspect we will have some foul weather within the next 24 hours. We will see what happens by tomorrow morning.
