Last evening N.O.A.A. forecast the temperature to dip back into the single numbers above zero. Well, it did that and a lot more. Right now (06:00 hours) it is -7.4 and falling. That is an almost 2 degree drop from when I started collecting this morning's data. The sky is clear, the stars are brilliant and the wind cold enough to freeze, well you know... At this point I am not sure how far it will fall, but when it gets to the low point I will report it.
For today N.O.A.A. predicts no precipitation, temperatures in the mid-teens and cloud cover in the low forty percent range. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show a storm moving south of us. It should not even affect the coast today. If it warms up as much as it is expected to there will be about a 25°F change in temperature, and we should be able to feel that.
My Weather Stick points slightly down in response to the 75% relative humidity outside my house. Once again the electronic instruments are forecasting falling barometric pressure and foul weather. I still do not see the foul weather since there are no clouds and no precipitation on the NEXRAD radar or the model forecast maps. I think we are in the grips of a low pressure system that has little or no moisture associated with it. Thus, we have the cold, no clouds and low barometric pressure. By the way, it appears that I got another one of my guesses correct.

N.O.A.A. did poorly with the forecast for the temperature today. The first data point was the only one that was close. The relative humidity forecast was much better. The third data point was the only one that missed the mark.
