The Shades Of Night Are Falling Fast
N.O.A.A. predicted the temperature would reach the upper teens today, well it not only reached them, but it surpassed them making it all the way to 30°F. Listening to one of the Weather Prognosticators, this is the longest stretch of cold weather we have had in the last two years. We still are not having the snowstorms that we usually have in January. The sky remained quite clear; the temperature cold and there was no precipitation.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation, temperatures at or near 0°F by 04:00 hours, and very clear skies. The only precipitation I could see on the NEXRAD radar was some lake effect snow near Lake Erie, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps show no storms moving our way. I will keep watching.
My Weather Stick has responded to the 40% relative humidity and points up. My electronic instruments remain confused. The Weather Station console forecasts foul weather with a falling barometer. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts partly cloudy skies with a rising barometer. The remote weather station forecasts foul weather with a falling barometer. Anybody else want to guess what the weather will be? My own guess is for a clear night, cold temperatures and no precipitation.

N.O.A.A. did poorly with the forecast for the temperature today. The second and last data points were the only ones that were close. The relative humidity forecast only had the last two points close.
