Change Is Afoot.
Right now the sky is overcast, the temperature is in the single numbers (above zero), the relative humidity is in the mid seventies and there is no precipitation or wind. That could change at any time. I keep looking out the window waiting for the first flakes to fall. N.O.A.A. forecast no precipitation overnight, and they were right once again.
For today N.O.A.A. predicts some light snow with significant cloud cover, temperatures in the mid-twenties and moderate relative humidity. The NEXRAD composite radar is currently only showing lake effect snow in western New York, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps show only the lightest snow for this area, and the bulk of the storm staying out to sea.
My Weather Stick points straight out. All three of the digital electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure. Two of them forecast fair skies (not what I see out my window), and the remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions. I will fly in the face of all this and suggest that we will have some light snow today with a potential of more tomorrow, but who am I.
