Another Mild Morning For Maine

The temperature made it into the mid-twenties overnight, but that was not too bad. Further, it does not appear that we had any precipitation, and the wind remained reasonably calm. There does appear to have been some cloud cover, but it did not bring us any problems overnight.
For today, N.O.A.A. predicts no precipitation for the first half of the day, and light scattered showers for the second half. The temperature is supposed to rise into the forties again, and that will be nice. The cloud cover forecast does support the idea of showers later today (69%/78%/87%/92%).
My Weather Stick still responds to 67% relative humidity pointing slightly up. The electronic instruments still do not agree on any forecast. The Weather Station Console predicts foul weather with a falling barometer. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts fair skies with rising barometric pressure. Finally, the remote weather station forecasts cloudy skies with rising barometric pressure. Currently we have high thin clouds over Wilton Maine, so I would suggest that there is a reasonable possibility for showers later today. I checked my rain gauge the other day when I replaced the batteries, and it appears to be clear. If the leaf switch is not frozen inside the unit, it should record any rain we have, as long as the temperature does not go below freezing. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

The temperature did not fall as quickly as it was forecast, and it began to rise earlier than predicted. I can only give N.O.A.A a fair rating for the temperature. The relative humidity forecast did not even make it onto the target let alone close the recorded data. N.O.A.A. gets a poor rating for the relative humidity forecast overnight. They will try again, until they get it right.
Forecast data for today.
