We Are Back Below Freezing Again
Despite the cloud cover overnight we are back in the teens for temperature. N.O.A.A. had the predominant weather correct, since we had no precipitation overnight, but they appear to have missed the boat for the cloud cover. It did not dissipate as predicted. There is some light and variable wind, mainly from the north-northeast.
N.O.A.A. predicts no precipitation until around noon, and then light snow is predicted to move in and increase in intensity later this afternoon. I checked the NEXRAD composite radar, and it still shows storm conditions moving just off our southern coast. The Weather Underground model forecast maps do not show any significant precipitation reaching us until around 03:00 hours tomorrow morning. After that the indications are that we will have the Nor'easter that all the prognosticators are promising, and according to the forecast maps we may be seeing precipitation (snow) until around noon on Sunday. I say again, "I can hardly wait?".
My Weather Stick points slightly up indicating 52% relative humidity or unsettled but improving weather conditions. I certainly would opt for the latter. All three of the electronic instruments forecast fair skies and improving barometric pressure. I would like to believe that too. The sky is overcast, (cloud cover 27%/52%/77%/87%) but it is still allowing some sunlight through. Looking outside I see cloudy skies, but bright filtered sunshine. This one is just too close for me to call, so I will go with the N.O.A.A. and Weather Underground forecast of a major Nor'easter moving in later today and not ending until sometime Sunday, with snow accumulations of 12 to 18 inches of snow and sleet. I will submit before and after photos of the snow gauge on Sunday after the storm is over. Have a great Saint Patrick's Day with the corned beef and cabbage (New England Boiled Dinner)

Relative Humidity: 58%/51%//65%/52%//68%/49%//73%/52%.
N.O.A.A. had all four forecast temperatures within one degree of the actual recorded temperature. Unfortunately they did not do as well with the relative humidity. Only the 19:00 hours data point was close to the actual recorded relative humidity. One of these days they will get them both right on the same day.
Forecast data for today.
