Can You Say, "Snow Sandwich."?

Last night we started with snow, and had quite a bit. At some point overnight that snow changed to sleet, and as I look out the north facing window at my carriage house roof (see photo) it appears to have changed back to snow or at least a mix of sleet and snow.

Sleet? or Snow?
I took Bart for his evening constitutional around 23:00 hours it was snowing still and we had an estimated 3 inches at that point. When I took Bart out this morning (he did not want to go and neither did I) it was sleeting very hard. The snow gauge showed that we had gone from 3 inches to 11 inches yielding 8 inches of new frozen precipitation. There is no telling what the final amount will be, and we are having significant blowing of the precipitation. I have recorded wind speeds (07:15 hours of 15.8 miles per hour. Oh my, there is a lot to report this morning.
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts ice for our area all day. Their prediction of the cloud cover 99%/99%/99%/94%) and temperatures below freezing all day support that prediction. The only questions I have are, "Will we have a mix of ice and snow, all snow or all ice?", and "When will it end?"
My Weather Stick points down, and with 85% relative humidity who can be surprised at that? My weather station console is showing a storm alert with falling barometric pressure. That pressure has fallen 0.07 in.Hg since I started this report. My, how quickly the weather changes here. The other two electronic instruments forecast foul weather with falling barometric pressure. I think we are in the middle of a Nor'easter, and these conditions will persist until it is over, and that could be as early as this evening or as late as tomorrow morning. It took its time getting here, and I am sure it will take its time leaving. By the way, have a happy Saint Patrick's Day.

N.O.A.A. had all four forecast temperatures close enough to be acceptable. The first and last data points were acceptable for the Relative humidity, but the mark was missed in the middle. So it goes.
Forecast data for today.
