What A Wild Weather Day!

The storm was essentially over by 13:00 hours. At least that was when I went outside and started to snowblow the driveway and dooryard. If I had waited until tomorrow I would have been dealing with precipitation with the consistency of concrete. It would not have been a pretty sight. I do not believe N.O.A.A. got the predominant weather completely correct. They predicted ice the entire day, but we had some rain I do believe, and it did essentially stop by mid-afternoon. I am not complaining mind you, but I would have had some real problems if I had held to their forecast.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. predicts that we will have light scattered snow showers all night, the temperature just getting into the teens and the cloud cover remaining above the 70% level (86%/80%/74%/77%). The NEXRAD radar shows the storm lifting away form here into the Canadian Maritimes. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show some left over precipitation in Maine overnight and into tomorrow.
My Weather Stick points down due to the 83% relative humidity. The Weather Station Console has cancelled its storm alert and now calls for foul weather with a falling barometer just like the other two electronic instruments. The temperature is beginning to fall and the barometric pressure is starting to rise. My best guess is that there is a possibility of some widely scattered snow showers, possibly some fog and a bit of wind just to keep it interesting. I will try to get a couple of photos of the driveways tomorrow. I did not clear the lower drive because of the ruts in the mud from last week. Now we need some warm weather to help get rid of this storm. Enough is enough already!!

Comparative data for today.
Temperature: 17°F/17.9°F//24°F/20.8°F//29°F/29.8°F//29°F/35.2°F
Relative Humidity: 92%/84%//77%/86%//69%/84%//75%/83%.
N.O.A.A. had three of the four forecast temperatures close enough to be acceptable, but they missed the 16:00 hour point. The relative humidity, missed the mark completely. So it goes.

Temperature: 23°F/22°F/21°F/19°F
