For today N.O.A.A. predicted light scattered snow showers for the entire day. We took a brief trip to Freeport, Maine this afternoon and drove through a couple of them. This has been one of those days where it would depend on where you were whether or not you were to get one of those showers. As it is said in Real Estate the whole thing is dependant on location, location, location. The temperature did get above freezing, therefore there was some melting of yesterday's snow going on. At this rate we may have snow on the ground until June.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. predicts snow showers until around 00:00 hours, after which they predict no precipitation. The cloud cover is also supposed to dissipate (81%/58%/34%/33%0,, and that supports that prediction. The Weather Underground forecast maps and NEXRAD radar also support the idea that there will be no additional accumulation of snow overnight.
My Weather stick points straight out and that is supported by the 71% relative humidity. All three of the electronic instruments are currently calling for fair skies with rising barometric pressure. It does appear that after these clouds dissipate that we will have exactly that. OK, so depending on your location you may have a snow shower before midnight, and after midnight you will have fair skies. That is fair enough.
