Another Crazy Day!
The barometric pressure topped out at 30.68, which is as high as I have seen it since I started doing these reports. This afternoon it has fallen rapidly, and is now 30.33. It has fallen even since I started this report at 23:00 hours. The sky, which remained mostly clear all day, has now become mostly cloudy. There are only cirrus clouds right now, but I suspect they will thicken and lower as the night wears on.
N.O.A.A. is forecasting some light snow until sometime early tomorrow morning when it will turn to ice and remain so until drive time in the morning. The Nexrad radar and Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that we have some foul weather headed our way, and if the N.O.A.A. graphical forecasts prove to be correct we are in for a nasty piece of weather. The cloud cover is predicted to increase (21%/54%/86%/93%) as is the temperature, both of which support a freezing rain event or some form of icing, and that will not make the roads a pleasant place to be later tonight or tomorrow morning.
My Weather Stick points up, and who can blame it with 56% relative humidity. Two of the electronic instruments are forecasting foul weather with falling barometric pressure. The remote weather station shows the barometric pressure falling, but fair skies. I do not believe that one. My best guess, based on what I see outside and the forecasts from the National Weather Service is that we are in for a nasty bit of weather, but if we stay put early tomorrow, we should be all right. If you must travel tomorrow, do be very careful. Four-wheel drive can get you going, but it will not do anything to help you stop. .

N.O.A.A. did not forecast the temperature closely for today. They only missed most of data points by more than 5 degrees with the exception of the 10:00 hour point. They missed the mark on half the points for the relative humidity except the two in the middle of the day at 10:00 and 13:00 hours.
