The Southerly Wind Blows Warm

Yes indeed, and it certainly did today. Incredible, absolutely incredible is what this day was. After this morning's very brief shower the sun came out, the clouds dissipated and the temperature went on a meteoric rise. Over 60 degrees by 16:00 hours this afternoon. I loved it. The snow pack actually lost over three inches during the day today. My main driveway is almost totally clear of snow and ice. Of course, it is now a sea of mud, and that makes its own mess. N.O.A.A. predicted rain and showers all day today, and I will take showers like this any time. In a word, they blew that forecast.
Here we go with another N.O.A.A. forecast. They are predicting rain and snow showers all night long, the cloud cover dissipating (81%/70%/50%/51%) and the temperature just barely getting below freezing. The one does not seem to support the other.
My Weather Stick points up indicating about 62% relative humidity. All three of the electronic instruments are predicting foul weather with falling barometric pressure. It almost appears that they have communicated with N.O.A.A. on this one. I would have to say, based on the data I have before me, that we well may have some precipitation during the night. I only hope the ice melted out of my rain gauge so I can get a reasonable registration of the rain (if that is what it is to be) that falls.
High Temperature (°F): 62.2
Current Temperature (°F): 50.1
Relative Humidity (%): 62%
Dew Point (°F): 32.6
Heat Index (°F): N/A
Barometric Pressure (in. Hg): 29.7
Wind Direction: South
Wind Speed (mph): 0.0
Wind Chill ((°F): 50.1
Precipitation (type): None
Amount (inches): 0.00
Sky-PM: Mostly Cloudy
Cloud Type: Cirrus
Weather Stick: Up
Comparative data for today:
Temperature: 22°F/28.5°F//36°F/39.0°F//43°F/57.9°F//44°F/62.2°F
Relative Humidity: 92%/76%//67%/76%//62%/44%//65%/42%.

The only forecast data point that N.O.A.A. had correct was the 10:00 hour one. They missed all the data points today for the relative humidity. Whoever threw the coins on the sheet did not do well. Maybe someone else needs to do the coin toss.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 39°F/36°F/33°F/31°F
Relative Humidity: 85%/92%/100%/100%
