Even The Dewpoint Is Above Freezing!
Not only did the temperature remain above freezing overnight, but also the dewpoint did as well. Maybe, just maybe, we have finally turned the corner from Winter into Spring. N.O.A.A.'s prediction for rain and snow overnight in this area of Maine did not materialize, and this morning we have just a few cirrus clouds and a great deal of sunshine. That orb is just a thing of beauty. We should lose a significant amount of snow-pack today.
For today, N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation, low cloud cover (24% all day) and temperatures in the fifties. I am not sure what happened, but the NEXRAD radar is showing a significant amount of rain south and west of us, but it is moving due east, and does not appear to be about to affect us. The Weather Underground model maps show that a mass of clouds and possible showers went through the area around midnight, but nothing showed up in my rain gauge. The storm that showed up on the maps is now offshore and it too appears that it will not affect us.
My weather stick points straight out due to the 75% relative humidity. All three of the electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure. They do not seem to be able to agree on the predominant weather. The Weather Station Console indicates partly cloudy skies. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts fair skies. The remote weather station forecasts cloudy skies. As I look outside (I always find that helps), I see a few cirrus clouds and a great deal of sunshine. That leads me to believe that we will have a warm day, with much sun and very few clouds. I hope I am right.

All I can say is "WOW!” I cannot remember when N.O.A.A. has missed both the temperature and relative humidity data points by the amount they did overnight. This is incredible.
