We had an impressive sunrise this morning, but that usually does not bode well for the coming day.

The temperature is rapidly approaching the freezing mark on its way up. We did not have any rain yesterday, but my rain gauge reported 0.08 inches of precipitation. That was due to the snow melting in the funnel, but it needs to be reported. Soon I will put out the analog rain gauge (once the threat of freezing weather is reduced). I really do not want to see it cracked because of frozen water. N.O.A.A. had the predominant weather correct, since we had no precipitation overnight.
For today, N.O.A.A. predicts no precipitation for the first half of the day with scattered showers developing in the afternoon. The cloud cover prediction does tend to support that (58%/67%/75%/85%). The temperature is expected to rise above the freezing mark, which also supports the prediction that it will be rain, rather than frozen precipitation.
My Weather Stick still responds to high humidity by pointing down. The Weather Station Console forecasts rising barometric pressure and fair skies (I do not believe it). The other two electronic instruments predict falling barometric pressure with partly cloudy skies. The skies are already partly cloudy, and those clouds appear to be thickening and lowering. I suspect that we may have a spot of rain before the day is over.
