Watching The Woods Fill Up With Snow...Again!

No Leaves On These Trees Yet
N.O.A.A. appeared to be a bit confused this morning, since they called for snow early, then a period of no precipitation followed by rain late this afternoon. The reality was that the precipitation held off until just after 14:00 hours, and now the snow is flying. The temperature reached into the low to mid-forties before the snow started, and it is now falling below freezing, as I would expect it to. I hope these crocuses survive the snow and freezing temperatures.

Snow and Crocuses
I was able to get some logs split and under cover, so I will have reasonably dry wood to add to my outdoor wood boiler over the weekend.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. forecasts snow, pure and simple. They are suggesting that we will be in the bonus area with 6.4 inches for the period ending at 08:00 hours tomorrow morning. My snow gauge was back down to ground level, so I will be able to give an exact amount tomorrow when this event is over. The cloud cover forecast supports the snow forecast (100%/100%/100%/95%) as does the temperature forecast going below freezing (it is already there).
My Weather Stick now points slightly down in response to the 85% relative humidity. It is not fully down because the relative humidity is increasing so quickly that it cannot keep up with it. Currently the snow is falling at a rate of 2 inches per 3 hours or not quite an inch an hour. All three of the electronic instruments are currently forecasting foul weather and falling barometric pressure. In fact the Weather Station as activated its "Storm Alert". I think we are going to have more snow than N.O.A.A. predicted since we already have 2 inches of new show on the ground. Oh well, here we go again!
High Temperature (°F): 42.4
Current Temperature (°F): 31.8
Relative Humidity (%): 86%
Dew Point (°F): 28.1
Heat Index (°F): N/A
Barometric Pressure (in Hg): 29.84
Wind Direction: None
Wind Speed (mph): 0.0
Wind Chill (°F): 31.8
Precipitation (Type): Snow
Amount (inches): 2.00
Sky-PM: Overcast
Cloud Type: Stratus
Weather Stick: Slightly Down
Comparative data for today.
Temperature:27°F/28.2°F//39°F/41.1°F//44°F/41.3°F//43°F/31.8°F
Relative Humidity: 98%/72%//71%/46%//66%/50%//61%/86%.

The N.O.A.A. forecast for temperature for today was good for the first three time periods, but the last was affected by the falling snow, which lowered the temperature well below the 43°F predicted at 17:00 hours. The relative humidity forecast was not even close to reality.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 37°F/34°F/31°F/30°F
Relative Humidity: 75%/88%/78%/78%
