My outdoor wood boiler is stoked to the nines. There should be enough wood in it to last until Tuesday. Today was a gorgeous spring day, and if you survived yesterday (it being Friday the Thirteenth), you were able to enjoy it. There was no precipitation as N.O.A.A predicted, the temperature was significantly higher than the prediction, and the cloud cover significantly lower. Late this afternoon East of us the sky was clear, but West of us, there was a significant layer of stratocumulus clouds.

Those Clouds Are Coming!
We will take it anyway since we do not need to shovel it.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. predicts no precipitation until about 05:00 hours when light scattered snow showers are expected to move in. The cloud cover forecast supports that (65%/67%/69%/76%) as does the temperature forecast. It is forecast to fall below zero again. The NEXRAD radar already shows precipitation in western Pennsylvania, and it appears to be headed straight at us. The Weather Underground model forecast map indicates that we are directly in the sights of Mother Nature for another major shot of Old Man Winter. Are you ready?
My Weather Stick points up and with 39%, relative humidity when I looked at it that is no surprise. All three of the electronic instruments forecast fair skies with rising barometric pressure. My own impression is that the clouds will begin to move in tonight, and they will take their time getting here along with this storm. From all the data I have, this one is going to be a doozey.
