The Longer It Takes To Get Here The Longer It Will Stay!
This storm seems to be taking forever to get here. N.O.A.A. predicted no precipitation before 05:00, and then scattered light snow showers. So far, we have not seen any of those showers at this location. The temperature is continuing to rise as the clouds continue to thicken and lower.
For this morning, N.O.A.A. predicts light snow changing to snow this afternoon. I am not so sure of that with the forecast temperature expected to reach 40°F early this afternoon and continue there until around 17:00 hours. The cloud cover forecast does support precipitation all day (84%/89%/94%/100%). If this is to be snow then it will be very wet heavy snow, probably mixed with either sleet or rain.
My Weather Stick points down in response to the 78% relative humidity. It has caught up with itself. The two usual suspects among the electronic instruments are forecasting fair skies and rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts clouds with steady barometric pressure. I will fly in the face of all these instruments and suggest that we are in for a storm. I am not sure it will be snow for this area of Western Maine and the foothills, but it will certainly be something. We will know when it is over.

N.O.A.A. miss-forecast the temperature for the first half of the overnight, and they got the second half correct. They had the same success with the relative humidity for the overnight.
