Is Spring Really Here?
If you look at the next photo, how can you doubt it? The crocuses are up in perfusion.
Spring is Sprung the Grass is riz, this is where the Flowers is.
Now we wait for the tulips and daffodils. From the temperature, we can surely say that we have had a change in season. Above 40°F, there is no wind chill and below 70°F no heat index according to the National Weather Service in Washington. I asked!
For the overnight N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation, dissipation of the cloud cover (23%/19%/14%/11%), and temperatures falling a bit below freezing due to the radiational cooling. What I see outside my window certainly supports that forecast, although the temperature is not falling as fast as they suggested.
My Weather Stick is turning up as far as it turned down last night. It is pointed straight up in response to the 23% relative humidity. The remote weather station still forecasts foul weather with steady barometric pressure. The other two electronic instruments forecast fair skies with rising barometric pressure. I tend to agree with the latter. I think we are out of the rain for the moment, and should see some delightful weather for the next few days. Three cheers for the nice weather.

N.O.A.A. missed the recorded temperature for today for most of the time periods, and they got the last two relative humidity points correct. When the day is as nice as this one it does not matter. It is to be enjoyed!
