Since Thursday of last week, I have been out of service. I had some repair work done on my hands, which is healing well. I also went to the Grand York Rite Masonic sessions that lasted until yesterday afternoon, but I am back now. The rain has finally cleared out of the area, the sun is out and the sky is very nearly clear. This looks like it will be a great start to the month. Now, what we need is to have a little rain every three or for days to keep the ground moist so the plants can grow and begin to produce vegetables and flowers.
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation, very low cloud cover (18%/11%/5%/18%), and pleasant temperatures. The NEXRAD radar shows some rain south and west of us, but it is moving southeast, and it will probably not affect us. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that we will not see any rain for the next couple of days, and that is good.
My weather stick points straight out, responding to the 53% relative humidity. I think it will catch up with itself soon and point up. My electronic instruments all show the influence of the high pressure moving in indicating rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station is the only one showing cloudy conditions for its forecast. I think we are in for a stretch of good weather, and we really need it.

I am glad to see that N.O.A..A. is performing as well as they did before I took the time off. They did well with the forecast for the temperature, but with the exception of 23:00 hours they missed the forecast of the relative humidity.
