And The Clouds Moved Back In Again
We certainly had a delightful day today. There was some wind to keep the black flies and mosquitoes at bay, some sunshine to warm us and late in the day some clouds to act as a blanket to keep us warm overnight. N.O.A.A. did say that we would not have any precipitation during the day, and they were right. The temperature was very close to the prediction.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. did say we would have the potential for some light scattered showers during the second half of the period. The cloud cover is supposed to increase (56%/63%/69%/80%), the temperature to remain in the upper thirties and the relative humidity to increase into the mid-80% range.
My Weather Stick points up in response to the 45% relative humidity. That is about right. The electronic instruments seem to have divergent opinions with the Weather Station calling for fair skies and rising barometric pressure, the Min/Max Thermometer forecasting partly cloudy skies with falling barometric pressure and the remote weather station indicating cloudy skies with steady barometric pressure. I suspect we will have cloudy to partly cloudy skies, moderate temperatures and no precipitation.

For today, N.O.A.A. did get the temperature correct. The only forecast relative humidity point they had correct we the 05:00 hour point. We are apparently still in a rapidly changing air mass in terms of the moisture content.
Forecast data for the overnight.
