Once Again Wilton, Maine Wakes To Rain!
Another 0.14 inches of rain, and it is still raining. A few minutes ago I stepped outside to exercise the dogs, and I actually saw a small patch of blue sky to our northwest. I am not sure if the storm is starting to break up, or if it is just looking for a place to put some more rain. Whichever it is we will find out what is in store very soon. From the Weather Station history it does appear that N.O.A.A. had the start of the rain about right, since it started to accumulate rain at about 03:30 this morning.
For today N.O.A.A. predicts rain for the entire day, and so far that is not unrealistic. There is rain showing up on the NEXRAD radar and the Weather Underground model forecast maps also show rain in our future. That rain may be heavy at times tool.
My Weather Stick is back to pointing down, and with 91% relative humidity that is no surprise. All three of the electronic instruments forecast foul weather for today. When the sky looks as it does, and the rain is falling as it is there is no reason for me to disagree. I think we will have more rain today before things begin to break up and these systems leave. Once they do, I suspect we may be in for a reasonable stretch of fair weather, at least I hope so.
