Reminder Noted, Sun Is Out!

We actually had no precipitation during the day today here in Wilton, Maine. There were plenty of clouds until around 10:00 hours, but then the sun came out and the temperature began to climb. It really turned out to be a beautiful day. The wind was steady, but not particularly cold. This should help to dry the lawn and garden out. That being the case I should be able to mow tomorrow and finish ground preparation on Wednesday. I am looking forward to a great garden this year.
N.O.A.A. has forecast no precipitation overnight, cloud cover dissipating (20%/11%/2%/2%) but the temperature falling below freezing once again. Our last frost normally happens around the fifteenth of May, but we are just a little beyond that. Memorial Day weekend looks like it will be the time to get the planting done. I am excited, despite the work it entails. The NEXRAD radar and Weather Underground model forecast maps are in agreement that for the immediate future we will have no precipitation.
My Weather Stick is not stuck in the down position. With 34% relative humidity it is pointed up. The three electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure. Two of them forecast fair skies, while the remote weather station forecasts a mix of clouds and sun. Overnight I would agree with that latter forecast since the foul weather system is moving out of the area. The sky should clear overnight allowing for significant radiational cooling and frost.
