Is this An Harbinger Of Weather To Come.
We had an interesting day in Wilton, Maine. We started with overcast skies, but no real danger of precipitation. We ended with partly cloudy skies and some Cirrus clouds. Frequently the Cirrus clouds can be an harbinger of foul weather, as in the old saw, "Mares' Tails and Mackerel Scales mean rain in 24 hours." N.O.A.A. did have the predominant weather correct with no precipitation forecast.
N.O.A.A. predicts no precipitation overnight, with the cloud cover holding steady near 40% (36%/38%/39%/40%), and the temperature remaining well above freezing. That is indeed a switch from the last two nights. Once again the NEXRAD radar and Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate the same supporting the N.O.A.A. forecast.
My Weather Stick points up as well it should with 45% relative humidity. Now, here is where it gets a bit difficult. All three of the electronic instruments forecast partly cloudy skies with falling barometric pressure. Usually falling barometric pressure is an indicator that foul weather may be in the offing. We will just have to wait and see whether these instruments or N.O.A.A.'s are correct for this area. By the way the garden is now tilled, and almost ready for planting. This is the weekend to get it done.

With the exception of the 17:00 hour reading N.O.A.A. did well with the temperature today. I fear they did not do well with the relative humidity though.
