The temperature dropped off, as N.O.A.A. predicted it would, and the house cooled down making it very pleasant. There was no rain overnight, and when I looked out at 23:00 hours the sky was mostly clear. In fact the moon was casting shadows. N.O.A.A. and I predicted the predominant weather correctly, and it was good weather.
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation for the first half of the day, and light scattered showers for the second half. Their prediction for the cloud cover supports that prediction (20%/40%/59%/77%), and they predict temperatures rising into the mid-sixties. With the exception of the possibility of rain this afternoon, it should be a pleasant day to get much of the garden planted. We can live in hope. I should note that there is still some precipitation on the NEXRAD radar around the eastern border of New York, and it is moving due east. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that we can expect some storms around midnight, and they may be gone during the early morning hours tomorrow.
My Weather Stick points slightly up indicating moderate relative humidity or a change afoot in the weather. I subscribe to the relative humidity factor. The Weather Station indicates that we will have fair skies and rising barometric pressure today. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts a mix of sun and cloudy periods with, again, rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts fair skies with rising barometric pressure. Of course, rising barometric pressure is supposed to be indicative of fair weather, and the pressure is rising. My best guess is that there may be some atmospheric instability later today giving us a chance for some showers or thunderstorms. The garden work will need to happen this morning.

N.O.A.A. forecast the temperature closely, and only the 23:00 hour point was more than five degrees off. The only point that was close to reality was the 20:00 hour prediction for the relative humidity.
