Are We Just Hitting Some Bumps In The Road?

We had no additional precipitation overnight, so N.O.A.A. did not have the predominant weather correct for Wilton, Maine. There may have been showers around, but it would have depended on your location whether you had one or not. The couple hundredths we had yesterday afternoon was just what my tomatoes needed to become established. I am looking forward to a great year with the tomatoes, and in fact with the entire garden.
Today, with my mechanical planter, and no rain until later I should be able to get the rest of the seed in the ground. N.O.A.A. is still calling for light scattered showers today, and their forecast for the cloud cover would support that (76%/72%/67%/70%). The winds should be light and mainly from northeast to southeast, and the temperature should be in the mid to upper sixties. It should be a pleasant day to work outside as long as those pesky showers do not arrive until later.
My Weather Stick points slightly down, and with 75% relative humidity that does not surprise me. The electronic instruments are as confused this morning as they were last night. The Weather Station calls for fair skies with rising barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts a mix of cloudy and fair skies with falling barometric pressure. Finally, the remote weather station forecasts a mix of cloudy and fair skies with rising barometric pressure. I guess we have our choice. There are some showers well to our west that may affect us later. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that during the day today we will not have much precipitation, but tonight and tomorrow we can look for periods of rain. From those maps it does seem that Sunday will be the pick of the weekend. This is just what we need for our gardens to get a good start. I am excited!

The only recorded temperature that N.O.A.A. missed was at 20:00 hours. They did not have one of the relative humidity data points correct. This was better than last night, but still not very good on their part.
