The Fog Did Arrive As Predicted
The overnight was humid making it just a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. Had the temperature been any higher it would have bee very uncomfortable. We did wake to fog here in Wilton, Maine, underscoring the high relative humidity. The sky above the fog is overcast, and it does look like it is going to rain soon.
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts light scattered showers for this morning, followed by heavier rain for this afternoon. The cloud cover (53%/68%/82%/83%), certainly supports that forecast. The NEXRAD radar indicates that there are some showers moving our way, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps suggest that we had best take our rain gear with us if we go outside.
My Weather Stick points down again indicating high relative humidity. Two of my three electronic instruments indicate falling barometric pressure with foul weather. The remote weather station forecasts clouds with steady barometric pressure. Unsettled is the weather word for today again. The gardens can certainly use the rain. At this time of year we must be thankful for what we get both in terms of rain and sunshine.

N.O.A.A. forecast the temperature closely, and with the exception of the 05:00 hour data point they got the relative humidity
correct as well. Not a bad job this morning.
