Hazy, Hot And Humid Was The Order For The Day!

Yup, we had a summer day today, and it is still spring. That is all right, we are getting close to the Solstice. The animals are enjoying the out of doors, and they just might start to make a dent in the pasture. The pasture is so tall at this point that the goats can hide in it and not be seen, except for the grass moving as they do. They have a lot of work ahead of them. We also had a heat index based on the heat and humidity of 87°F, and that is only about 2°F higher than the actual temperature. Later in the summer it will become more dangerous to do vigorous activity because of the heat index.
The N.O.A.A. forecast for the overnight is for no precipitation, and the cloud cover decreasing (31%/22%/13%/21%), but I am not subscribing to that. I see overcast skies tonight, although the low pressure system appears to have moved a bit further east. There is a prediction of some showers around midnight when the Weather Underground model forecast maps are checked. There are some small cells showing up on the NEXRAD radar, and they may or may not affect us.
My Weather Stick points straight out indicating moderate relative humidity or unsettled weather depending on what you believe. My electronic instruments do not seem to be able to agree tonight. The Weather Station forecasts fair skies with rising barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts partly cloudy skies with falling barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts partly cloudy skies also, but with the barometric pressure rising. I think we could have a shower, but it will be widely scattered and the skies will clear by morning, making tomorrow a good day to work outside. I will let you know tomorrow what we get overnight.

N.O.A.A.'s forecast of the temperature was correct for the periods of 11:00 hours and 17:00 hours. Only the 17:00 hour prediction for the relative humidity was correct. They really should be able to do better than this.

Relative Humidity: 62%/83%/93%/86%
