The sun came up through a bit of fog that was not predicted by me or N.O.A.A. There was no precipitation and it did get cool as was predicted last night. The relative humidity did rise, just not quite as much as it was predicted to.
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation for the first half of the period and scattered light showers for the second half. The cloud cover is expected to increase which would support that forecast (44%/48%/53%/60%). Temperatures in the upper seventies are the order of the day and relative humidity less than 50%, making this a very pleasant day, if correct.
My Weather Stick points down, and with 87% (now 88%) relative humidity who can blame it? My electronic instruments are forecasting falling barometric pressure, just as they did last evening. Two of them are currently forecasting foul weather (rain) while the remote weather station is suggesting cloudy conditions for today. My best estimate of the weather is that we will see sunny conditions this morning, and a chance for scattered showers this afternoon. My reasoning here is based on no red sky this morning, a heavy dew and mostly fair conditions. There may be some atmospheric instability this afternoon as things heat up, but we will have to wait to see what is in store for Wilton, Maine.
