I am not an aficionado of hockey, but I understand that a Hat Trick is three wins in a row. We have now had two excellent days for outside labor in a row. N.O.A.A. got this one right too. Their estimate of the cloud cover was a bit high. I did not see any. It was a bit more humid than yesterday, but it was still a good day to be outside. I only have some 12 sections to plant and my garden will be ready to grow. Some things are getting in a bit late, but I think there will still be time to have a decent harvest. Now we do need a bit of rain, and I guess we will get that tomorrow.
For tonight N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation for the first period, followed by 6 hours of light scattered showers, and finishing up with three hours of rain. (The cloud cover predictions do not seem to support the forecast (26%/51%/82%/78%)). There are two lines of storms to our west according to the NEXRAD composite radar. The Weather Underground model forecast maps suggest we will have some showers overnight, but tomorrow morning will be dry until around noon, after which we will get some more rain. At this point we can use it.
My Weather Stick points up indicating dry air at 59% relative humidity. So far we have had no rain, although my Weather Station is calling for foul weather with falling barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts a mix of fair and foul weather with falling barometric pressure. Finally, the remote weather station indicates cloudy conditions with falling barometric pressure. This is a change from 17:00 hours when the former two instruments forecast rising barometric pressure and fair skies. This is Wilton, Maine and it does not take long for the weather to change.
