We Had Rain From Noon Until Three

I did get the chores done, and made it out to the garden early. The clouds continued to move in all morning, and the rain started at 12:15. It lasted until around 15:00, after which it started to clear. We had almost 0.4 inches of rain during that three hour period. Before the rain started I was able to get all eight varieties of beans planted and the beets too. I still need to put in the cucumbers, squashes and pumpkins as well as some cauliflower plants and pepper plants. The last thing I need to do is put up the lattice so I can "train" the tomatoes and vine crops. N.O.A.A. had forecast rain all day, but it did not here in Wilton. Maine on this day.
N.O.A.A. has a pretty convoluted forecast for tonight. The say we will start with light scattered showers, those will dissipate to no precipitation around 23:00 hours and we will have fog for the rest of the night. Their forecast for the cloud cover (67%/24%/47%/17%) does not seem to support anything, but we will see. The NEXRAD radar shows that the line of showers has moved down east, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps show the same. The latter also show that we may be in for some more showers tomorrow and Friday. There too we will see.
My Weather Stick points down, and I am not sure what that means considering it was straight this morning with a higher relative humidity, although it does feel more humid right now. The electronic instruments do not seem to be in agreement at all. The Weather Station is forecasting foul weather with falling barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts partly cloudy skies with rising barometric pressure, and the remote weather station forecasts clouds with steady barometric pressure. Considering the way the weather has gone today I would suggest that the clouds will continue to dissipate, and we will have a pleasant evening, even if it does get foggy tomorrow morning.
