A Day For Hide-And-Go-Seek.

Today that is exactly what we did with the sun, play hide-and-go-seek. We had the shower early this morning, then we had another around noon, and then a thunderstorm around mid-afternoon. It did remain cooler than I would have expected for the first full day of summer, but we did have a mix of cloudy skies and sun which did not allow for any thermals warming. N.O.A.A. did have the predominant weather correct.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. is holding onto the light scattered showers in their forecast and the cloud cover forecast would support that (91%/79%/68%/70%). The NEXRAD radar is showing a large number of small cells of precipitation across the area, and they are moving south across the three state area of northern New England. The Weather Underground model forecast maps are also indicating showers across the area as well.
Here in Wilton, Maine, my Weather Stick points up in response to the 44% relative humidity. All three of my electronic instruments are forecasting falling barometric pressure with foul weather. Obviously there have been showers around, and there appears to be some instability in the atmosphere, so I would have to agree that we may have some more showers before the night is over. That is all right. I have seen the first of my peas poking up through the ground. Things are beginning to happen in the garden.

N.O.A.A. was within five degrees of the recorded temperature on three of the four periods today. Their record for the relative humidity was off and on, and off and on. They still do not have the formula correct.
