We Had A Little Shower Here And A Big One In Skowhegan, Me.

Just after I got to Skowhegan this afternoon a thunderstorm hit with all the accoutrements. There was thunder, lightning, heavy rain, hail and strong wind. It was not pleasant. The rest of the day was hot, hazy and humid. N.O.A.A. did not have the hazy right overnight, as far as I could tell, but we did have it this afternoon. This is one of the few times I have seen the temperature reach over 100°F. That may have been an artifact, but it was very hot none-the-less.
Overnight N.O.A.A. predicts some more severe weather followed by some light scattered showers. I would guess that the cloud cover forecast supports the forecast for rain (63%/64%/72%/53%). There are still some showers on the NEXRAD radar maps that could affect us, and there is a possibility for some showers according to the Weather Underground model forecast maps.
My Weather Stick is frowning again (pointing down). All three of my electronic instruments forecast foul weather with falling barometric pressure. I think we may well have some more precipitation overnight. This may be measurable. We will see in the morning. I have put out the analog rain gauge, so we have something to check with.

N.O.A.A. was a little off at 23:00 hours with the temperature, but the rest of the forecast points were good. With the exception of
the 20:00 hours point they missed all the relative humidity points for the overnight. Nice try folks, but maybe you can do better
today.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 86°F/75°F/69°F/66°F
Relative Humidity: 72%/53%/74%/84%
