Overnight N.O.A.A. and I predicted no precipitation, and we were both right. The cloud cover forecast was incorrect, since we are currently overcast. I am not sure if we will get any rain out of this, but anything is possible, particularly since I mentioned that I was planning on a bicycle ride this morning. There is nothing showing up in Maine on the NEXRAD radar or the Weather Underground model forecast maps for today. If that rain holds off for a while it will be a great time for a bike ride.
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation, and the cloud cover is supposed to dissipate (2%/2%/18%/19%). If they are right it will be a gorgeous day with low humidity and bright sunshine.
My Weather Stick has a slight smile (points slightly up) responding to the 78% relative humidity). All three of my electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure. They do not seem to agree on anything else though. My Weather Station forecasts fair skies. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts partly cloudy skies, and the remote weather station stubbornly hangs onto a forecast of cloudy conditions. My best guess is that the clouds will eventually break, and we will not have any precipitation. Temperatures will remain moderate. This should be a good day for outside activity without the heat and humidity of the past several days. We will get whatever weather Mother Nature has in store for us, whether we want it or not.

N.O.A.A. was correct with their forecast of the temperature overnight. I cannot say the same for the relative humidity. The only point they forecast correctly was at 20:00 hours. I would like to know how they determine the forecast of the relative humidity, because they are so often wrong.
